"The Approaching One World Government"
(Part 1)

The Book of Revelation describes the short, but dreadful reign of antichrist on the earth.  The Apostle John, the author of Revelation, calls the antichrist “the beast.”   All of the previous dictators throughout history will seem almost benevolent compared to “the man of sin:” “He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed.  And he causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark of the beast, or the number of his name.  Here is wisdom.  Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666” (Revelation 13: 15-18).

The “beast” will blaspheme God; he will sit upon the seat of the temple proclaiming himself as God (this is the “abomination of desolation”—Matthew 24:15); he will make war with the saints; he will deceive many by performing great signs and lying wonders; and he will have absolute religious, political and economic control over those upon the earth (Revelation 13; Matthew 24).  Those who are upon the earth at that time will have two choices: reject the beast’s mark and risk being put to death, or receive the mark of the beast, sealing their damnation:  “Then a third angel followed them, saying, ‘If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand, he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation.  And he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb, and the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever, and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name” (Revelation 14: 9-11).

As horrific as the temporal rule of antichrist will be, it pales in comparison to the wrath of the Lamb on the “great and terrible Day of the Lord:”  “And the stars of heaven fell to the earth, as a fig tree drops its late figs when it is shaken by a mighty wind.  Then the sky receded as a scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved out of place.  And the kings of the earth, the great men, the rich men, the commanders, the mighty men, every slave and every free man, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains, and said to the mountains and rocks, ‘Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb!  For the day of His wrath has come, and who is able to stand?’  (Revelation 6: 13-17).

Dear Reader, when you understand the end time events foretold in the Bible, you will see world events in a new light.  What is described above is the final conflict between Satan and his minions and the deceived who hate God, who make war against the saints, the followers of Jesus Christ.  The world stage is being set and the players are being put into position.  Ephesians 6:12 states: “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood (humanity), but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.”  The demonic hordes inhabit humanity and have their full expression through fallen man.  Just as an earthly army has its ranks of authority, so do the hosts of hell have a demonic hierarchy who are assigned over nations, world leaders, and some of the wealthiest men in the world.

Now that the groundwork is laid, we can examine scriptures in the light of world events which will culminate into society becoming a “one world government” or a “new world order,” ushering in the revealing of the “man of sin.”    May God grant you “ears to hear” and “eyes to see” what the Spirit of God is saying.

“The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved.  For this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they may all be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in  unrighteousness” (2 Thessalonians 2: 9-12).
